FLINTface - Taking Names "Official Music Video" HD

Taken from: http://flintface.com/

FLINTface a.k.a. Joe Scorsone began his career as a recording artist in 2001. Prior to the start of his musical career FLINTface grew up in a "blue collar" community in West Philadelphia. His parents were both pastors of a Pentecostal inner city church so at the age of 8 he started playing drums to gospel music to pass time and take his mind off his own issues. FLINTface was also heavily involved in distributing food to those less fortunate and helping in any way he could within the community. Helping others was also a distraction from his own struggles. As a young boy FLINTface was sexually abused and spent most of his teen years struggling with poor self-image, depression and suicide. This is relevant due to the fact that sometimes you have to go through the pain to understand the pain of others.

Upon relocating to Kresgeville, PA in 2001, FLINTface seized the opportunity for a fresh start. Armed with an eclectic background bridging from Gospel to Death Metal, FLINTface hit the local bar scene to develop his skills and stage presentation. Blending a hybrid of Urban/Pop/ and Metal he quickly began building a reputation for his high energy performances. In his role as lead vocal/drummer, he incorporates everything from saw blades, blindfolds, to pop lock dancers and at times to connect with the audience he would invite them to surround him on stage.

The name FLINTface is a biblical name that comes from Isaiah 50:7 which states, “Don’t be ashamed or confused but set your face like a FLINT and don’t be moved” FLINTface never was and never will be a "Christian Artist" but simply a Christian who happens to be an artist and has compassion for troubled souls. His convictions are his own and he delivers this message through his lyrics and musical talent. FLINTface always treats his fans as family and part of his life.

The fan base continues to grow both physically and virally through his militant heart felt message that speaks of his gutsy approach in breaking down a social taboo to connect and bring awareness to a major but unspoken problem. His message “Never give up because you’re never alone” is a message to turn those troubled into realizing their is hope and those around them to be aware of the signs and to address the individual before it’s too late.

His philosophy and message is all about average people helping average people with their struggles of depression and suicide. It’s an effective method:
We Carry Each Other!!
